Profile and Resume (CV)

I posses over 16 years of experience in software development, including extensive knowledge in the embedded graphics space, 3D and multimedia, as well as in middleware architectures like Java, EJB, J2EE, Servlets, XMLRPC, XML, .. etc.

Up until 2005, I have worked as an independent contractor for a broad range of organizations including Duerkopp-Adler AG, IBM Frankfurt, Siemens AG Munich, Jausoft, Lufthansa Airplus, Desys GmbH, Dekra GmbH, Harman/Becker Automotive Systems, Hella and AMD.

In the last years, I have focused on design, implementation, porting and extension of device drivers and software applications for various embedded platforms, e.g. GNU/Linux, QNX, VxWorks and for various architectures, e.g. IA-32/64, SH-4, PPC and DSP's.

I employed my specialized embedded systems and graphics knowledge to assists AMD in accelerating the development of the Embedded Display OpenGL drivers.

Today, I am involved in SUN Microsystem's relaunch of Java on the desktop and mobile device. After realizing the New Java Plugin incl. JNLP support, I help with the new JavaFX platform utilizing hardware accelerated rendering (OpenGL, OpenMax, ..).

I hold a master's degree in electrotechnics and computer science, conferred upon me by the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences in 1998.
